1998 Honda CRB Boot/Load Cover/ Parcel Shelf

1998 Honda CRB Boot/Load Cover/ Parcel Shelf

Postby Bazza on Tue Aug 11, 2009 9:00 pm

I have just 'matured' from a honda civic to a honda crv 1998. The car is in great condition, however there is no boot/load cover (or sometimes called parcel shelf) so anything that goes in the boot is visible.
I am presuming that they were never fitted with one, however if they are available, anybody know where I can get one (or generic one?)
Putting something over the top like plastic/ blanket etc only makes it more apparant there is something in the boot.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Probably an obvious reply, but ask at your local dealer if they come with one or not and get a price from them. If they do exist, try ebay etc ?

Hi All.

I have a 2000 West One - this also has no load cover - I asked at the local Honda Dealer (Who sold it to the original owner) and was told that it was an optional extra costing over £350 (Back in 2000).
You cant just buy the load cover, the rear side panel have top be replaced as these hold the cover in place and also provide the latch to secure it to when it is pulled back.
The cost today was around the £400 mark. :o
I am sure something like the option above couls be fabricated.
