Deciding On Hands-Free Kit?

Postby securespark on Fri Jul 23, 2010 10:18 pm

Hi folks.

My missus bought a new diesel FR-V last Nov. She needs a HFK for her bluetooth mobile and I wanted to pick a few brains, please.

Has anyone got Honda's own bluetooth unit fitted in their motor? If so, is it any good? Worth the dosh?

If not, what system do you use?

Thanks.

I was looking at getting the Honda kit factory fitted. However, I was quoted £250! Although I ultimately got a new head unit with built in bluetooth handsfree, this was because I wanted to allow for a replacement double din head unit at some future point. If you're happy with the existing stereo you can get one of the Parrot unit's fitted instead. Impulse Cars in Watford quoted me £269 for the Parrot MKi9200 fitted - it not only does the bluetooth handsfree, it also has an ipod connector for charging & doing the audio.
