FR-V for sale

Are you allowed to advertise your car for sale on here ? If not, sorry, and Mods please remove.

I want to sell my FR-V which I've owned for almost 4 years :-

FR-V 2.2 i-ctdi Sport
2005 (55), 46k miles, full Honda service history, perseus aqua metallic (light blue), usual high 'Sport' spec. incl. climate control, cruise, electric windows, mirors etc complimented with a host of quality extras including full leather interior (with heated seats), privacy glass, rear parking sensors, ipod interface, detachable towbar.
Lots of smaller extras included also :- Honda fitted floor mats, boot floor protector mat, rear seat back protector mats, Honda front & rear mudflaps, Thule roof bars, Brodit clip etc
Car also comes with 4 new Michelin tyres (2 have now done 2 or 3k miles, but the other 2 are not even fitted yet (Costco deal :) )

Can e-mail some photos on request.

£ open to serious offers.

I've been thinking about the price :-
Parkers valuation is £8,775 for a car like mine for a private sale, and in good condition (except at 50k miles, and without most of the extras) - see 'http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/used-prices/Valuation.aspx?deriv=31683&plate=79#amount=10000&years=3'

I was hoping for more, but would be willing to listen to offers around this figure (which is an absolute bargain for a £46k mile Sport with leather + privacy - similar cars seem to be much more on AutoTrader)

Jok,

Your FRV sounds amazing !!! Fancy swapping for a Petrol version (55 plate, 25000 miles, FRV 2l Petrol SE, Roofrack, Grey)? :D

Is it still available? How much are you hoping to sell it for?

Cheers

Sorry - I like the mileage on yours, and sparkle grey is my favourite colour for an FR-V, but no, I'll be looking for a diesel replacement, hopefully < 12 months old.

Yes, I still have it. I e-mailed some photos to the guy who posted earlier, but heard nothing back.
I'm hoping to get as much for it as possible. Given that the Parkers good/private sale price is £8775, and that both Parkers and Glasses seem to agree that it's worth around £8000-£8200 to trade in, I originally thought I should get £9000 quite easily due to the condition, mileage and fitted extras (my local Honda dealer has a Sport (without leather, privacy etc though) same age, and with same mileage, on their forecourt for £10,500 !!).
Due to the underwhelming response to my ad I'm now thinking that I may settle for the £8,775 that Parkers say, or maybe a little, but not much, less.
I've stuck it in AutoTrader now at £8950 (http://search.autotrader.co.uk/advert.action?R=201030364381411) - I think the price looks OK on there as you need to compromise on either spec. or mileage to get one any cheaper, but I'm still not getting any response - maybe it's just the recession and people just aren't buying.
I don't have to sell it - I'm only trying because I've had it nearly 4 years now and 2 is usually my limit (testament to how much I like it). Our 2nd car is an '03 Yaris D4D so Plan B will be to keep the Honda and replace that instead.

HI Jok,

Thanks for the reply (and kind words about my FRV). Before we bought our FRV last month, I was on the verge of buying a Diesel FRV (Diesel, 57 plate, non-sport, 70,000 miles, no roof rack) from a local non-Honda dealer and i managed to negotiate him down to £8,500 - so that gives you an idea of what the market is like! I thought his was an amazing deal, so yours is definitely a bargain anywhere around the £9k mark! I'll keep yours in mind if any of my mates (who all seem to be having kids) are interested. Where are you located?

Cheers

Hi Jonny,

Well my FR-V sold yesterday. As you know, I stuck it in Autotrader earlier this week, so I got a call from a guy from Manchester area yesterday morning, we agreed a price on the phone and he got on the train to come and collect it (I'm in the north of Scotland btw). Car left here at 11pm last night so is now in Manchester with it's new owner.

Now, what should I buy to replace it ???? :?
