Someone scuffed my beloved car last week, as they tried to park their car, they decided to take some paint off mine.

that's well annoying! try one of those mobile repairers are well priced for this sort of the thing. I'd imagine, dare i say it, halfords to be reasonable on cost for this sort of thing

let us know what you get quoted

Right -- hold on to your wallets

Dealer No.1 = £600
Dealer No.2 = £800

No idea where they get there figures from, I even emailed the photos to show them the damage. In the current economic state, these are just crazy numbers! Going to get some polish, and some good old fashioned elbow grease!

if the scratch hasn't gone down to the primer, you can get some scratch remover cream from halfords, will do the job. works like t-cut, but less hardcore

i think those dealers must be on crack

I feel your pain. Peeps who scratch other owner's cars like that should be strung up.

Where was the scratch? If it was a bumper they come pre-sprayed from Honda may be cheaper to buy a new bumper.

My FRV has become a mobile moving target for people to hit/scratch/throw trolleys at. Have given up trying to keep up with other people "throwing life" at it. On my third number plate due to peeps with tow hooks in car parks. Only one I was guilty of was one on the rear bumper. Just not worth getting all the dings/scratches and dents sorted out until I offload to the next owner.

Hope you get yors sorted out

Cheers

I will probably give that Halfords scratch remover a go, and if that fails, I'll try some T-Cut... I know, life can be hard sometimes!!!

I have decided not to go to anyone for the damage, and will apply some good old elbow grease - I'll get round to it in the summer holidays, and let you know
