I have a '55 plate CR-V Exec with a Honda HFT (hands free telephone) kit fitted. When I purchased the car a few months ago I had no instructions but managed to find how to pair the device with my phone. It has worked very well for the last few months but has suddenly decided to refuse to switch itself on when I start the car. The LED used to flash blue when it automatically 'found' my phone but now the LED briefly flashes red and refuses to be switched on manually. A trip to a Honda dealer was met with 'Oh, its probably the pwoer source. We'll need to have it in and strip it down'. I am reluctant to do this as I believe the unit has power as the backlight is still on and the LED does flash briefly. Does anybody have any exprience of the Honda HFT kit, wiring diagrams etc or any thoughts on what could be wrong? The dealer is going to charge me a minimum 1 hour labour and will probably only tell me its had it and I need to spend a fortune to get a new unit fitted!
