Hi all,

currently been looking for a car with 6 or 7 seats where the extra seats are not in the boot! Or if they are then with enough room for adults. I'm ruling out most MPVs for lack of style! So the only MPV I've found is the FR-V which actually looks good from the outside.

However, I would be moving from a Qashqai so have some reluctance to change. Especially as the drivers position in the FR-V is way over to the right.

Can you good folks give me any good reasons to go for the FR-V besides the flexible seating?
Has anyone got the side/rear/front skirts attached -any photos?

I bought a 3-year-old FR-V in October to replace my Renault Scenic, and have been very pleased with it. I don't actually feel that the driver sits away over to the right, it merely feels like a larger car to drive (my daily transport is a Mazda MX-5, my wife usually uses the FR-V) and so I would not cite that as a reason for not buying it. We don't actually need 6 seats, that was not the reason for buying it (our family is only 3!) but what we did want was a medium-sized FR-V that is reliable, not ugly, and enjoyable to drive! In my view the FR-V fits the bill - I think it looks OK (for an MPV...), I have owned a Honda before and was impressed with the reliability, and I certainly enjoy driving the FR-V more than the Scenic (although to be fair our Scenic was a 1.6 petrol and the FR-V is a 2.2 diesel, which has a bit more poke!). The Scenic had more storage areas, but the FR-V is superior in every other respect - in fact we are planning a driving holiday in France this year just to allow us to enjoy the FR-V's abilities!

So, just buy one!

yup agree with the previous post, the driver seat doesn't feel like its way over to the right. its a very normal driving position.

I like you ruled out MPVs with seats in the boot. the FR-V has it all, 6 seats, nice drive, looks, and most importantly a usuable boot!
