I've just bought an 06 Jazz, which doesn't have an aux input for the Radio CD (though the fascia does have markings for CD/Aux). Despite the assurances of the Main Agent I bought the car from, there is no way on earth that an after fit radio unit can be installed anywhere in the dashboard area, no-one seems to make a replacement facia plate to replace the radio unit with an after market fit, and according to my audio installer no-one makes an Ipod interface to fit the radio unit installed. The Audio installer tells me that Honda do make an auxiliary input kit, but the parts department of the main agent doesn't know anything about it. Can anyone give me some information as to how I can get an auxiliary input into the radio to run an Ipod/mp3/minidisc? I've been really delighted with the Jazz, but this saga (now running for 6 weeks) trying to get an auxiliary input to play mp3s/minidisc on is really souring that delight.

You could use an FM transmitter - just search any electronics website and you'll find plenty. Some are iPod-specific (i.e. they plug into the iPod's proprietary socket) and some just plug into any 3.5mm audio socket. Some use batteries and some can be plugged into your car's 12V socket. They work by broadcasting the audio input over an FM frequency at low power, perhaps a few metres. Mine broadcasts on several frequencies around 108MHz, so I just tune my radio to that frequency and I hear whatever audio my device (usually my phone) is playing.

For an aux soutce i use a memory stick via an FM transmitter plugged into the ciggy socket tuned in to the fm radio.
Then i have a 3 gig memory stick with as much music of my choice i care to put on from my music files
its the cheapest version without changing any wiring or original equipment.
