Hi there,

After searching around for a few weeks, I have just purchased an FR-V. Its a 2007 1.8 ES auto in Galaxy Grey with 1 previous owner and FHSH.
With the recent arrival of child number three, I had to sell my Mercedes C Class and get something which could fit three child seats in the back. After researching the possibilities, I opted for the FR-V because of the owner reports of reliability and (mainly) fault free motoring - unlike the stories I have read about the Zafira, Touran and Verso.
I know that the 1.8 auto is not the quickest in the world, but with the family on board, it is about getting us from A to B in comfort, not seeing who is the quickest off the lights!

The car is being delivered from Glasgow at the end of this week, but in the meantime, here is a photo I took at the weekend:

I have a questions I hope you can help me with. Firstly, I'd like to add bluetooth for mobile phone connectivity. Can this be done easily with Honda parts?
Secondly, is it possible to program the car to lock the doors as you drive off?
Also can you point put the differences between the original and the facelift models.

Welcome aboard, and your FRV looks great. I think your enjoy it!
To try and answer some of your questions:
1. Bluetooth kits can be fitted to almost all cars, but unsure if honda do one. Best thing to do is ask the dealer/parts when you collect it.
2. I'm unsure if you can program the car locks to activate once you drive off. I have looked in my hand book but it does not say anything about it, but I have got a pre face lift model.
3. The differences between pre and post face lifts, as far as I know are headlights & rear lights, Aux input as standard (i think) different wheels, and the engines. Old models were available as a 1.7, 2.0 petrol and 2.2 diesel and on the later models they dropped the 2 petrol engines and replaced it with the 1.8 petrol but the diesel stayed the same.
I'm don't other major changes but i'm sure someone else can enlighten us.

Have fun

Mark.

Hi Mark,

Many thanks for your reply.
The FR-V should be delivered at the beginning of next week. I'm looking into the Bluetooth options.
