This is my first post and it is on behalf of a friend who has recently purchased a 2003 CR-V SE auto.
We both live in France. My friend needs to change headlights to conform with France's regulations - i.e. dipping to right.
He bought from a French website a pair of new headlights. He was absolutely assured that they were correct for his car.
So yesterday we tried to fit them. There are two difficulties.
We have an immediate problem - it seems that the front bumper needs to come off and we could not do this. Main problem was removing the 4 (2 each side) 10mm screws/bolts underneath the bumper; they seem now knackered.
Can anyone help, please -- point to a workshop manual page on the net showing a diagram of the fittings, perhaps?
Second - the supplied lights are different to the 'UK' ones still fitted. The UK ones have one large light with a twin element bulb. The French ones have two large (not so large as the UK) lights, each with an H1 bulb. The fitting brackets are pretty well the same UK-France but clearly the wiring will need to be changed. We have been absolutely told again that the supplied lights are correct for France.
Please, could someone help?
