Steering Wheel

Postby AMYFAMILY on Mon Apr 18, 2011 9:57 am

Hello,

I recently purchased FRV 2.2 CTDI ex on a 2008 plate with 32k on the clock.

We absolutely love the car.

I just wanted to ask a few questions

1) We are driving on the motorway the steering pulls to the left slightly – has anyone had this problem?
2) the alarm, we single lock it with the kids in, however when they move it triggers the alarm off, does anyone know how to lock the doors with passengers inside and without the alarm going off?
3) I was thinking of getting the tables for the back seats, has anyone had them fitted ? are they any good ?
4) Finally .. can anyone recommend where I can get some nice 17” alloy wheels from to replace my 16” wheels.

Thanks in advance,

Amy

hi all motors drift left due to the camber of the road.... however if its going left in excess then you may have tracking issues which will need to be remedied.... very quick and simple for the local tyre place/ garage workshop to correct and should prob cost about £40 (give or take a few quid)

re the alarm- there been a few methods that people have been using...... on my frv i can single push the 'lock' fob and that just locks the doors and i double press to deadlock and set the alarm however other members have said they've held the door handle open whilst locking by fob which works on theirs but doesnt on mine

i had some imitation tables fitted (not the original honda ones but some cheaper ones of ebay) they didnt last as werent all that stable however with the honda ones, one would assume they'd be somewhat better

re wheels..... not sure what area you live in but in london theres a fab wheel outlet called 'elite' in rainham who supply all my stuff i need..... they'd be worth a shout if your local..... but if your not local theres gotta be some wheel warehouses near you somewhere that'l sell similar products..... its just a case of choosing which style of wheel you like and getting the place to supply the correct fitment....... (be wary not to let them fit spigot rings/ spacers- as these can cause probs further down the line....

Hope this helps

Thanks for your input Tez,

The car isn’t steering to the left excessively, but I’ll get it checked out when it goes for service next week with the dealers

Quick question Tez, do you know where I can purchase the front Grill and also body kit for the FR-V? If you know if any URLs if don’t mind forward them on

Thanks in advance,
