im new here, looks like a great data base.
i drive a 2007 frv, and i suffer from a whisteling noise while driving at 100-110 kmh.
i heard it from the first day i received the car from the factory, i complaind to rhe agency, and after a few tests drive in another frv`s that suffers the same noise they convinced me that this is the sound of the gear box in any frv and there is nothing you can do.
i drove already 30K, and its still annoying.
do you guys suffers the same noise?

I'm not sure if you are describing the same noise but the turbo-charger on all diesel FR-V's makes a bit of a whining noise when accelerating. I quite like it - you tend to hear it because the i-CDTi engine was designed by someone who didn't like diesels and it tends to be fairly quiet in comparison.

Not heard of this one on petrol FR-V's. I've googled it and the only thing I cam up with was a review on The Times which complained of a whisting noise on the petrol fr-v the reviewer drove at constant 80mph.
Anyone else experienced moti's problem?

I forgot to mention that the agency replaced my gearbox after 2000km because of the noise, they told me that they orderd one that it serial number is the most far from the first box, hoping the noise wont appear.
As i told, it appers.
And then they told me, "learn to live with it"!!
